What it costs.

That is the whole price. There is no VAT on top, no per-user charge, no charge per load, and nothing to buy in the way of hardware — if there is a phone or tablet in the yard, that is the kit.

What the £300 covers

Somebody with twelve years in the trade comes to your yard and sets it up around the way you already work. Not a video call and a login.

• Your metals, under your own names — the ones your lads actually say.
• Your prices on them, in the units you quote them in.
• Your own reasons for a knock-down, from your list rather than ours.
• Your weighbridge and bench scales entered by name, with their calibration certificates and the dates they run out.
• Your gate devices enrolled, and a PIN for each person who works the gate.
• The printed signs for the yard, in your yard’s name.

It is once. If you open a second site later, that site has its own £200 a month and its own setup.

The contract

Length

Monthly rolling, no tie-in. There is no minimum term and no lock-in.

Notice

30 days. Tell us and it stops.

Price rises

Not without telling you first, and never inside your notice period. If we ever have to charge VAT, that is a change we tell you about before it lands on an invoice.

VAT

None is charged today. If your yard is VAT registered that makes no odds to you; if it is not, £200 is simply £200.

What happens if you stop

Nothing you recorded is deleted. Nothing in ScrapLog is ever hard-deleted — not by us, not by anybody. A ticket that was posted stays exactly as it was posted.

Take your book with you before you go. The two statutory registers print as one pack for any period you choose. So does the metal book, a metal to a page, and every receipt. Print what you need for your record-keeping duties while your login still works.

If you want it as a file rather than on paper, ask. There is no export button in the app today. We will not pretend otherwise. Ask us and a person puts your records together for you.

What you are not paying for

No cameras, no barriers, no lights, no driver terminal, no signature pad, no intercom. Those are what a weighbridge company sells you alongside the software. We need the phone you already have.

ScrapLog never touches your money

There is no way to pay anybody through ScrapLog, so there is no card fee and no percentage of anything. You pay your sellers from your own bank, exactly as you do now. What the app records is who paid, how, and the bank reference — nobody here can touch your bank.

Before you pay anything

Message us and ask whatever you want. We will tell you if your yard is not a good fit.

Or ring 0330 520 2685 and we call you back. There is no call centre and nobody will ring you afterwards trying to sell you anything.
